Can herald of ice damage trigger elemental equilibrium? I don't have any cold damage on my gear, therefore i'm thinking about using herald of ice to get cold damage on hit. Not sure if it's viable or not.

Herald of ice adds cold damage to your hits.
So you will give monsters more cold resist with EE (if this is the only element you hit them with). If this is beneficial to you, go for it. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519
