Does "The Queen's Hunger" require corpses?

The new unique item The Queen's Hunger states
" Does this mean it triggers regardless of how many corpses are around you? And if there are 0 corpses does nothing happen? Last bumped on Dec 18, 2018, 3:55:29 AM

It will trigger every 5 seconds, no matter how many corpses there are around you there just has to be at least one corpse. If there are no corpses around you nothing will happen.
