Armageddon Brand Big stealth "nerf"

When I started using Armageddon Brand I was surprised to find out that I could attach 2 brands to a single enemy without having the Runebinder node that allows you to have an additional Brand attached to an enemy. Naturally I read the gem description and it made perfect sense "You can have an additional brand attached to an enemy" was the first line on the Armageddon Brand gem. Awesome, I can have 2 brands attached to an enemy and when I get the Runebinder node I can attach 3 brands to an enemy, and surely enough it worked like a charm and I was shredding bosses with 3 Armageddon brands attached to them. Unfortunately, I managed to rip being a HC player and decided to create a new character doing the same build and when I finally reached level 28 so that I could start using the Armageddon Brand again, I quickly found out that I could only attach 1 brand to an enemy, and when I looked at the gem the first line "You can have an additional Brand attached to an enemy" was nowhere to be found. I had been second guessing myself all night until I saw a picture of the Armageddon Brand gem on the PoE wiki:

Can I please get a GGG reply to confirm this big nerf, so I don't feel crazy
