noone talking about elemental flask changes

Ruby, Sapphire and Topaz flasks no longer grant added maximum resistances. Instead, they each reduce the damage taken of their respective elements by 20%.

this single line is going to make loreweave BiS for like 80% of the current builds ( hell it's already BiS for a lot of builds )

loreweave plus a flask for the selected element basically means you have 84% max resist and that's with like zero effort

add a wise oak too and you're at 86% maxres for the selected element - if my calculations are good

and they nerfed rise of the phoenix because it had too much max fire res :D

also if i'm correct it's a nerf for rightous fire builds - if you already have high maximum elemental resistances than these flasks don't reduce the damage taken that much - diminishing returns

(also asking experienced RF players, is this going to affect the build much or it's just a slight nerf? ( my first time planning a RF build for the new league)

I would rather have capped max resistances but well.
Indirect buff to the Loreweave no doubt.
Pathfinder
- RF is not a viable build for pathfinder any more. RIP ...

Juggernaut
- with purity of fire (level 23), saffell's frame, and skill node (barbarism)
the fixed max fire resit was 85 %.
Usual Jugg RF build can temporarily increased this to 95% by using elemental
flask (6%) and Divination distillate (4%, with MoM skill).
This mechanism warranted higher net life regeneration and less elemental damage.
Change of elemental flask and DD flask is equivalent to about +10 % -> +3 % max
resistance. This can be problematic especially in the maps with penalty mode such
as less regeneration or - X % max resistance. You may suffer from damages or even
life degeneration especially in 60% less regen or -12 % max res maps which were
overcome by using flasks in the past.

Guardian
- as I know, flask was not a critical mechanism of guardian RF.
I'm not sure, +6 % -> +3~4% max resistance is critical or not.
My guardian RF abandoned majority of penalty maps (less regen or - max res) before.

well just what i thought... i really want to see an explanation for flask changes

Absolutely. Loreweave becomes extremely strong particularly for (surprise surprise) pathfinder. Only downside of that chest is meh life.
