Star Trek Online Easter Egg

After reaching 36 challenges this league I decided to go back to Star Trek Online (which I have a lifetime sub for but haven't played in years).

During the final mission of the "Gamma Quadrant" story arc, which is called "Home", you are prompted to speak with various NPCs. One of them presented me with the following dialogue.

Seems like one of the developers plays PoE lol.

Given the capitals, I must concur ;)
~ Adapt, Improvise and Overcome
Nice catch! :)
The Bother progress: 11%

You don't even imagine how much harm you've caused. I'm not sure I'll live long enough to finish "The Bother". You're one of my murderers. You will never get my forgiveness unless you make up for what you've done.
LOL! Does this mean GGG has finally gotten noticed (not just a niche arpg anymore)? Is GGG ready to take PoE to where no arpg has gone before?

Edit: Oh wait... should have said "to boldly go where no arpg has gone before".

Edit 2: Oh no... PoE is 5 years old. Does this mean their mission is over? (Maybe selling out to Tencent was when it was over. Only time will tell.)

Edit 3: Some ex-players (not me) would probably say "beam me outa here Scotty, this arpg sucks!".

How many more can we come up with...
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Someone will probably come up with dozens of uses of the term "Path of Exile" or "Path of the Exile" which predate computer games as a whole. It's not an original phrase.

I'm pretty positive it's an easter egg placed there deliberately.

It's a totally unnatural sentence, no one would ever say that.

Additionally, since path and exile aren't proper nouns in the context of the sentence, or in the STO lore, the capitalization makes it obvious.

The mission arc in question was created in 2017.

The NPCs name is Neth Parr.

I wonder if someone has a PoE account named Pantherr, with two Rs lol
Not saying it's not a nod... I wouldn't call it an Easter Egg though.
