Essence challenge not registering?

Thanks for the report. This issue is known to us.
This currently occurs when you destroy a monster that has 2 phases such as a shield-crab. If the monster is destroyed on the first phase then it will not give you the Challenge.
Destroying a monster includes (and is not limited to):
- Shattering
- Killing with the explosion of infernal blow
- Killing an Ignited enemy with Pyre equipped
