Summon Skeleton always casting at max range

Summon skeleton always seems to cast at max range regardless of what i'm targeting, Just wondering if this was intended cause it makes the skill really hard to use.

It is as intended. I played a Skele Warrior build last league and cleared all content excluding Uber Elder (I am too lazy to make that happen).

Once you get your 2nd ascendancy done, it doesn't matter much. I would suggest a From Dust jewel as well if you don't already have one. I've also found Flesh Offering to be the most useful version of the skill (for warrior build).

You just need to get used to summoning them ahead of you or summoning against walls (shortens the range).
