Scion Ascendant passive tree missing points upon reload via URL

For some reason the on-site passive skill tree can't keep track of the points on the Scion tree, and it has to do with the extra points the Ascendant gets.
To demonstrate, simply load up an empty Scion skill tree and pick a standard 5-3 split with your ascendancy points. Note that this provides 5 extra (regular) skill points, for a total of 128 as listed in the allocation meter up top. Then simply copy the URL for that tree (more of a bush, really), and paste it into another browser window or tab.
The allocation meter will have sunk to 123 despite showing the ascendancy points as allocated, and by unallocating them it is possible to get a completely empty tree with only 118 (regular) points available.
