Help! I cannot find a fractured wall.

I run around the hidden node, into all the ways as far as I can. Then I die. Map resets. Going back to restock on flares resets the map.

Why is this seemingly basic thing so goddamn difficult? What am I missing here? How do you survive this baloney? How do I find these fracking walls?

(Sorry but getting angry at this badly designed bs.)

I suspect that you are trying to run down an actual track that isn't completed yet. The walls will never be more than a couple of screens from the track. Go somewhere you already completed and check some side paths. They are ALL OVER THE PLACE. I haven't even done any serious farming and I've found about 80.
I run between points at the light cable? At points I have already been right?

Very confusing.

Do you have tried 75% darkness resistance and 150% light radius on flares?
Running speed and using a movement skill helps.
A high eHP regi do wonder on darkness.

Took me a while to figure out but this way I can explore to any point in darkness.

Make sure you are looking at the mini map. The walls show up as brightish icons on the map, even though they are very hard to see in the dark. As pointed out, they are usually no more than one or two screens off the lit path, so run in, look for the icon and run out. If you see it then you can flare and dynamite.

Phase run is pretty much mandatory for any non-speedy builds.

Start hunting at low map levels. Once you've seen a couple you will be able to recognize them easier and you can move down.

PS. I agree that zoning out to refresh flares and then zoning back in to the same place, to see that the map has reset to unexplored, is very annoying.

LOL! No, you just run straight to depth 3000 in the dark. If you can't make it, Get gud.
I've never had a delve map reset from leaving and going back using the return icon in the upper left hand corner of the delve map (brought up by clicking on the cart in the top camp). If you are in the top camp, and click on a node on the map, even if it's the one you just came from, it will reset the instance (essentially clearing the node, which you may want to do if there were a lot of drops).

There are two types of fractured walls. The more common type are the ones along the pathways between nodes, typically one per square without a node. Some are just off the path, some are a little deeper, but I've not seen any of these that require flares, as long as you have 150%/75% and decent run speed or the like.

The ones you seem to be looking for are on the hidden pathways to isolated nodes. I have yet to see any of these originate from anywhere other than an node, so no need to run between nodes. Generally speaking, look for nodes with two pathways, as these seem most likely to have the hidden pathway as a third. If you've checked all the possible two pathway nodes, then try a triple (the hidden pathway is the fourth). I've yet to see a hidden pathway from an single pathway end node.

There are some threads here that show good examples of this.

Hmm, you know what ... that seems like something I might have done. I apologize to GGG. This time.
Much good advice here. Thank you.
