Why can't we escort the crawler (speed control) ?
Imagine the crawler would plant the cable lights in real time as you go. This would allow us to go at our own pace, or fast as the current mode. What's wrong letting players decide how fast (read: slow) they want to go? Having a crawler move only if you are infront of it would let us stop or even backtrack along the cable lights, which would already been deployed. Now we can look into side rooms, kill monsters and get some loot. All at our own pace. Not everone has a 1shot build with 10mill dmg or 999% maxed out shadow res and light radius. It is just fucking annoying that the crawler won't stop, forces a certain speed on the player, and leaves a lot of monsters alive behind us "because immune in darkness". If you have the skills, the gear, the upgraded delve stuff, you can rush the same as ever, get a onslaught kill with frenzy charges, pop phase run with a adrenaline flask and skip alllllll the monsters to the next check point 50 screens away while your crawler speeds behind you at 500 mph. You invest, you take the risk, you can speedrun all you want, this isn't taking anything away from you. Why can't you let everyone have what they prefer? Why are you constantly FORCING us into something not everyone wants? Why can't you never make more options? Give me one proper reason or argument why we shouldn't be allowed to stop the crawler with us? Who would it hurt? How, why? Last bumped on Sep 12, 2018, 2:21:46 PM

I understand if it is related to loot or reward gains, like do this in X time or you don't receive Y rewards, like incursion rooms timer. Totally fine with that.
Delve is like a endless dungeon or map. Questing doesn't have any time limit, neither do maps, only some zana and other master missions. But in general there would be no difference in rewards depending on how fast or slow someone completes a delve point. Even if the azurite cavities would have a timed window where you get more azurite shards the more you manage to kill spawning mobs, it would still be unrelated to the crawler speed since the event timer only starts once you activate it on the spot. There is no fucking excuse to have the crawler speed right now like "fuck you bitch better keep up because meta". Can't even start a petition because GGG... |

If you fall behind the crawler, it slows down to a... crawl. If you go too far from the crawler, such as in a dark passage, it stops completely.

" The range is too short, the crawler is still moving, not good enough. The stupid /oos bad pathfinding, monster position bumping, getting stuck in random pixels on the floor, having to fight the fog degen in time, unkillable monsters in the dark, wasting resources on flares, all is far enough on its own. We don't need a fucking cart on top that wants to run away from us with the only light attached. I wouldn't be half as mad if the light cable was laid instantly but it isn't. |
