Yet another "no sound driver detected" thread...

Hi there,

Sooooo patching to 3.4.1b broke the game sound on my laptop.
Before patching: 0 problems, everything worked fine.
After patching: no sound driver detected.


I hear the audio from the GGG cinematic intro (coz that's a video) then nothing. Sound works fine on everything else (other games, VLC, basic Windows sounds and so forth)
I've tried every single thing that's been said on this forum so far to try and fix it, to no avail:

- Reinstalled latest Realtek audio drivers (6.0.1.8509)
- Reinstalled PoE
- Reinstalled nVidia drivers while I was at it coz you never know.
- Deleted production_config.ini
- Tried updating Windows (but no new updates were available)
- Tried rebooting coz when in doubt...
- Tried all the different sound modes in Windows (ie 16bits 44100Hz and all its friends)
- Tried switching exclusive audio mode on and off
- Wanted to try and set the speaker system to 7.1 under Realtek HD Audio Manager, but sadly as this is a laptop, only stereo is available.

So I'd very much like some help in fixing this problem, as I can't play without sound.

Had same problem.
Only thing that worked was uninstalling Asus sonic studio 3 and Asus radar.
