Ive encountered this curious lockbox in the normal lab today and I see no way in.

Is it just the locked door stopping you? It means you have to run around, go in the back way.

It's a puzzle. Walk across the tiles towards the door to open it. Then walk on the tiles in the order you just walked on them to get across the floor. No diagonals but sometimes you do take a step in the opposite direction. Once you get across the floor using the pattern the door to the lockbox will open.
