Innervation is underpower and need a buff

let's compared it to Ice Bite and I just list their MOD. It looks like both they have 4 mods, but the effect of Innervate is "Innervation grants (1-8) to (17-145) Lightning Damage". Innervation's 2nd and 4th MOD is the same one in fact, thus it has only 3 mods.

Innervation's old version is "grant onslaught on kill shocked enemies " and it's deleted now. so I think onslaught should back or added a new mod to make Innervation have enough function

onslaught supported may become awkward but it's another problem, it also need to be reworked in the future

I'd like to see it have power charge generation or something, but then PCOC would need reworking (let's be real, it needs reworking anyway). Not only does Ice Bite have similar added damage ratios (86 avg + 57 avg for 3 frenzies vs 114 + 76 on innervate), but you also get 4% More damage per frenzy charge which almost always scales better than an extra 28 average flat damage.
The two skills don't quite do the same thing. Ice Bite only affects the supported skill, and lets it generate frenzy charges. They give you not only added damage to the linked skill through Ice Bite, but also the usual bonuses to damage, attack, and cast speed.

Innervate lets the supported skill grant you a buff. This buff will add lightning damage to every skill you use, even those not supported by Innervate. Thus this can be useful in the case where you are using several different skills: for example, a totem as your main attack, and a self-cast skill with Culling Strike to proc Innervate.

I am not going to comment on the balance; but each of the supports does a bit more than just "add X damage"; in not directly comparable ways.

only thing i could imagine here would be a change from
"gain innervation from killing shocked enemy"
to "deals x-y additional light dmg against shocked enemy"

but then again, it would change the behavior of te gem really a lot.
wouldnt have the buff anymore on first hit,
instead just on 2nd hit,
which could potentially be a nerf to clear and a buff to single target.

while on kill effects are meant to be clear supp.

so, yea....
maybe the gem is fine where it is now.
and the only reason to use innervate over added light is anyways the shock chance, right?
yea, guess the gem is somehow fine where it is....

I disagree. they are truly similar gems they have 3 same feature:

add base elemental damage without condition.

add extra base elemental damage in specific condition

add chance to cuase elemental aliments

the difference is that Ice Bite have a mod about get extra buff/resource(frenzy charge) but Innervation have no.

So it's worth to give a new resource to Innervation just like onslaught or power charge
