Forum notifications about new post

Hi,guys. Is there a way to see this green lights (on screen) near forum section only when new THREAD is posted and not on every single new comment on any thread?? Cause informations about new COMMENT is useless - there are dozens of them every hour... so what the point?=/ it could be much more useful if those lights will show only new threads...so u can go and check new juicy thread..

but anyway it seems green> yellow so u cant rly see is there new thread untill u come to section so green light will disapear:( but still ty

**Digging out**

Can someone explain why I see a yellow dot at a forum but when I open the forum there is none at the new threads (all black)?

I assume red means "you have read it but there is nothing new"?
