Why do people vaal portal gems in bestiary?

There is around 3000 portal gems listed in BSC from which around 700 is corrupted. And there is 1 vaal breach. Probably the wiki is right and the process works only on breach maps:)

23% Quality for faster cast speed maybe. I also thought level 2 portal gem had some benefit like level 1 could use it rather than level 10 but I might be remembering wrong.

I think vaal breach gem is only obtainable via Volatile Power card set on Bestiary since breach mod is not available now.

I only found out halfway through this league that you need to be in a zana breach map to have the chance to get a vaal breach, that was after i vaaled maybe 4-5 portal gems, better late than never!

You gotta have a lvl 2 or 23% q Portal gem. Every league.
