5 slot limit on bow?

Hi, I'm rather new to the game and not fully sure how things work all in all,
the inquiry I have today for you all is as follows, I have a bow "DoomFletcher's Prism" to be exact, i was using jewelers on it and got it up to 5 slots, when i went to use another jeweler (because i want a 6 not a 5 lol ) it tells me that the item has already reached the max number of slots... so i looked around and on websites it shows this bow and most if not all bows can have 6 links my question is is this a bug?, or was there a change to bows or just a change to this particular bow? The number of sockets an item can have is based on the item level -- which is the level of the monster that dropped it. You need at least level 50 for 6 sockets.

Worth noting that you can use Vorici's crafting bench to get around this restriction. He can always add as many sockets to an item as possible regardless of the ilevel limits.
