Map items internally tagged with the wrong levels.

This issue actually first appeared back in 3.1, with the start of the War for the Atlas map set. It's twofold:

  • Firstly, the sounds that each map makes when it drops is incorrect for a lot of them: normally there's supposed to be three different sounds, one for T1-5 (white), T6-10 (yellow) and T11-16 (red) maps. While it is correct for some of them (namely, ones where the tier they were in Atlas of Worlds was in the same color range as they are now) for ones that CHANGED tier range (e.g, Maze, which went from T14 to T5) the sound made reflects the OLD tier they had. (E.g, that Maze Map still sounds like a red map)

Similarly, the ENTIRELY new maps often have the wrong sounds. (e.g, T5 Haunted Mansion Map sounds like a red map when dropping)

This bug can be trivially replicated by anyone: simply gather maps such as those named above, and drop them on the ground in any non-town/hideout zone, and listen to the sound they make.

  • Secondly, shaped maps (possibly elder ones too) internally have the wrong "droplevel" attribute; it appears that, in spite of dropping correctly (e.g, Shaped Dunes Map only drops from level 79+ mobs) it is filtered like the base Dunes Map, at level 74.

And yes, this is a case of droplevel, not improper ordering of filter names.

This bug can be trivially replicated by anyone: simply gather shaped maps, and drop them on the ground, and check your loot filter accordingly.

This was brought up months ago, and still hasn't seen any response, for what should be an easy fix. Hopefully this will change soon.

Bumping for some visibility... Since both of these issues can be tested in less than 60 seconds, it'd be prudent to confirm them and, say, at least add them to the list of "known issues."

...For something so blatant to anyone mapping, you'd figure that everyone at GGG would've been unable to NOT notice it.

The 2nd one is not a bug. The droplevel of the shaped/elder map stays the same as the base map's. They added the item filter parameters ShapedMap/ElderMap to cover for that. Changing the droplevel would break the popular item filters.

But the sounds - yeah, looks like each map has a drop sound attached to it, and those sounds haven't been updated in a while.

I'm honestly not sure how it'd "break" filters. A Shaped Graveyard (WftA series) for instance, is Tier 6, and cannot drop below level 73. I'm not exactly sure what the NS or ZD filters (are there any others people even use?) even do (I've never used either) that would be so reliant on counting shaped maps as the wrong level.

I mean, if one wanted to cover all of a particular name of map whether or not it's shaped, one could literally just put "Graveyard Map," which would ALSO cover "Shaped Graveyard Map."
