So GGG is there an actual reason a player who has very low ping, and excellent connection should not be able to use lockstep? I think I recall chris saying something about input lag making it so you feel you are "playing drunk" or something. but thats an awful argument. not everybody is playing on 70 inch tvs with 50ms input lag and 200 ping. I see how for certain setups it could be awful but you cant be serious when you think that for every circumstance lockstep is worse than desync? are there other technical reasons for this?

So does anyone out there have an inkling of how this might work? Would it mean separate servers for the two modes? Or perhaps separate client installations? I presume that players with borderline specs would like the ability to switch back and forth on good/bad connection days. For group play, would everyone need to be using the same mode? I must admit that I have no experience on the PC and perhaps it has all been sorted out already on that platform.

Just watch some uber lab runs in under 3 mins videos. Thats totally surreal on xbox. PC is in that regard way better.
