Fenumus' Poison Wander Assassin EB MoM



Hey there exiles,

This is my first guide so please understand that i dont have any finesse.
I just found a nice interaction with the new beatiary uniques and wanding and didn't find any similar guides or help online while i was setting up this build. It turned out pretty well. But be warned, its only suited for those who just want to try something new and different but won't be able to min-max much. Its very easy to reach 1 Mil shaper DPS. but i guess thats it.

Mechanics

For the Thematic effect I wanted to use the entire spider set since i found that the most interesting.
Aspect of the Spider basically provides the following as per my knowledge:
1) Hinder (30% reduced movement speed) stacks with Maim and Temporal Chains
2) 5% increased damage taken by mobs per web (20% more damage since 4 webs)
So basically i have a shitty PC and wanted to Wand with a non-glasscannon build, but couldn't figure a way to do it, so instead i decided to buff other defenses instead of just eHP. Will mention those defenses further along in defenses section.
So what this build does is uses the Aspect of the Spider debuffs to add a layer of defence and offence with nice synergy with temp chains and poison and ofcourse Assassin's poison stacking via Barrage.


Pros V/S Cons

+ Amazing clearspeed , cast KB once and forget (will have to back track for drops and since not QotF MS is not that great)
+ Amazing damage, spam barrage for 2 secs on bosses and step aside and watch them melt on their own
+ You zoom while other monsters crawl due to temp chains, webs and maim.
+ can do all map mods including no leech, no regen, phys/ele reflect.

- No front end damage and hence no leech
- min/max not much since load of uniques required
- movement speed much lesser than QotF variants
- chaos damage wrecks you since only 3.5k to 4k life to counter chaos damage (hence not HC viable)
- map mods which hurt are "blood magic" which i havent seen till date in 3.2 mapping, less chance to poison.

-The chaos damage to spells dont help us since we're attack based
-The energy shield goes towards our eHP since we're EB MoM
-chance to gain PC is awesome on bosses along with the assassin's PC generation since there is almost no ramp up time
-chance to poison/PC has to be 10% inorder to hit 100% chance to poison on hit and this may cost you upwards of 15c
-increased damage with poison/PC is awesome however last i checked only 3 perfect rolls like this on poe.trade and 1 was for 1ex while the other at 4ex, however i managed to snipe this one for 20 chaos from someone who didnt notice the roll. (he admitted it once i asked him why he sold it to me so cheap)
-Lastly the cooldown reduction makes sure you hit 4 webs in 2 seconds instead of 4 seconds. So for high HP bosses all i do is barrage them for 2 seconds and step aside as i watch them melt to zero hp.


Gloves

In my honest opinion i feel these can be replaced so long as you get the aspect skill on another glove, it aint that great.
-rolls and stats are quite self explanatory
-the added chaos damage helps a lot though since we cant get that on jewellery (why cant we? you ask - will let you know soon)
-These gloves i sniped for 10 chaos, they are between mid and high roll and perfect ATK-SPD roll which matters most, these worth around 40 to 50 chaos.


Boots

Absolutely essential for us to maintain EB MoM
-Chaos Resistance does help a bit (Once you play this build you'll know why every bit of chaos res matters)
-These boots provide the 4th web and thus 5% more damage
-It provides us with ES on hit which helps us maintain our mana cost and eHP (once i can afford it i would love to buy a watcher's eye with discipline ES gained on hit and clarity damaage taken from mana before life - would increase eHP by a lot since ES is better scalable than life)


Body Armour

Yes i know i am poor and still on a 5 Link (but we can still hit 1 Mil shaper DPS on a 5L without too much investment)
-The ES regen helps a lot with sustain
-the chest is mandate since we're a ranged character and this chest helps apply the aspect to the edges of the screen
When i had purchased this start of league there wasn't many out there and had to pay around 25 chaos for these rolls. but you can get better rolls than these now for around 8 to 10 chaos
-10% reduced damage taken from enemies is amazing
-the negative resistance to enemies increases our damage by a tonne, there is barely any way in game to reduce enemy chaos resistance


Weapon

Obliteration is an amazing starter wand and take us to end game.


This is an example of the wand I'm using which barely trumps OBLI, getting phys wands is expensive in a temp league, but even a 200pdps wand trivializes the game, if you get a chaos damage wand over the phys damage will add a lotta damage. Attack speed on wand helps a lot, reason my wand doesn't have it is coz i first started a miner with this build.

-since we cant get accuracy on other gear its a mandate option, and with the advent of converting a Titucius' Span to lycosidae, lyco's prices have dropped to almost 90c. i have mine up for 90c and still no one is buying so basically its the most expensive piece of this build and still be easily got.

Rings

Sorry for the click-bait, it aint ring"S" its singular Ring
One ring to rule them all

-Since we have barely any front end damage due to "Perfect Agony" we can't leech life and hence need this ring for life on hit. get as much resistances as you can on it. And then go on to get as much Lgoh as you can. This ring costed me around 10 chaos.



Jewels

Since this build os so devoid of Resistances due to the number of uniques, best thing is to get you resistances on jewels and life, (getting ES is not worth it since even without discipline we're well above the 30% mark)



Defences

1) Life gained on hit from Thief's torment and the energy gained on hit from the fenumus' spinnerets boots makes the build feel like old vaal pact (instant leech)
2) Temporal Chains with 20% quality slows down enemies upto 39% slower at level 20.
which stacks with maim which we get from our ascendancy (Assassin) which slows enemies by another 30%,
hinder from aspect of the spider also slows enemies another 30%.
I'm not sure as to what the end number is and what is additive/multiplicative, but enemies are really
slow.
