What happens when your Menagerie cage is full and you try to cap more of the type?

Interestingly enough, I could not find an answer on GGG-related sites. After this new patch it warns me that my Menagerie is almost full. So, when it's finally full -- then what?

Besides, does anyone know how to get rid of the white wolves in a sensible way? They take a measurable part of wolf cage.

The crappiest monster of that type gets replaced with the new one, assuming the new one is of better quality/higher level...
And that's why sometimes capturing new might result in nothing happens...

What happens if you have a rare octo with just craicic presence and 28 red beasts and you capture a rare anything with two beastiary mods, could the much more vauable craicic octo get kicked out for a potentially worthless red beast?

yes, thats exactly what happens
The last patch added a month late warning for when it gets full. I don't know what the warning looks like or if it prevents anything from getting kicked out now since I try to keep my beasts used up so this crap doesn't happen. Makes me wonder if the dev's ever filled their own menagerie playing it and said "hm yes instantly replace a useful monster, good idea" and then I wonder why it took a month to add any kind of a warning

hindsight is 20/20 but the notice atm, is just a sentence that appears in the corner, just like when you touch a shrine, that dings saying you have 1 beast before your menagerie is full, and dings again and says your menagerie for that beast is completely full.

I don't believe that's entirely true.

I still have level 5s blocking 70+.

I was avoiding micromanaging the menagerie but just a while ago I had captured an elder blessed rhoa - yet it didn't end up in the menagerie and I still didn't get credit for capturing one on the list.

I'm basically trying to clear out the menagerie now while spending the least amount of chaos on beast orbs. I can't help but be really annoyed at a system that challenges you to capture at least one of everything and yet has so little storage space.
Yep, totally over league play.

Thanks for the info. Is there any official source to confirm that behaviour?
this bestiary thing needs some heavy re-work especially since they're adding it in core.

enjoy bestiary challenges in the next league bois.
