Tora wants me to find something that isn't there

The map is completely empty, and the indicator disappears if I leave the room.
Maybe I'm missing something that's staring me in the face, but AFAICT this seems like a bug.

If you go back to the waypoint, there is an entrance in the pipe just "above" your character on the screen, to the boss arena. From there you can step back (I think) to the "main" part of the cesspool map. You can also traverse through the first zone from Saan via the waste pipe, and then enter the cesspool map.

The animals will be in that main, large, part of the cesspool. The area with the waypoint, and the boss arena, are both part of the same larger map, even though they are somewhat disconnected from it.

That portal had disappeared, I think because I had gone back to town, or possibly relogged; if you look on the map the portal isn't there.
