[SOLVED] nVIDIA Geforce GT555M not recognized ingame.

Hello!

I just got my invite to the game and started it up.

At the logon screen it was really low fps and when I checked the video options it said "Intel HD Graphics Family" instead of "Nvidia Geforce GT555M".

Usually this is something the computer switches between automatically but for some reason PoE doesn't get recognized as a game or something.

I tried to add client.exe in the Nvidia control panel->program settings and then choose Nvidia card but it's grayed out and can't be changed from "Use Global Settings: Auto Select Nvidia-Card).

The "fix" for this was to set the GPU to always use nvidia card in the global settings but that feels like a bad idea to have turned on when it's supposed to switch auto.

Spec:

Windows 7 Professional (English) 64-bit w/ ServicePack 1
NVIDIA Geforce GT555M (2GB) w/ 295.73 WHQL drivers

EDIT: Tried the older drivers 285.62 and still got the same issue.

Anyone had similar issues and know how to fix it?

Peace!

On mine laptop I can right click game shortcut and select which GPU to use.
Right. At the moment you need to rightclick the game shortcut and then choose which graphics processor it should use.

Thanks! this fixed my problem temporarily.
not for me, it starts with hd3000 eather way
I have the same problem.
-Have no option to use the geforce, when rightclick the game shortcut
-Cannot set the geforce in the nvidia-settings for client.exe (recognized as phantasy star online?!)
-Got failure-message using "-adapter:1" in the shortcut

Is there something else I can do?

Spec:
Win7(64Bit)
GeForce GT540M (296.10-notebookdriver) and
some crappy Intel HD-Graphics-Device

I end up copy "client.exe" to another name "pathexcile.exe"
Then I will be able to add this new file name to Nvidia control panel and set it default to use Nvidia GPU instead of crappy Intel Integrated.

This seems to be a better way for me cause I keep forgetting to right click on it.
