What build should I try running for the HC achievements?

A lot of the achievements I have left are RNG achievements. It's discouraging to work on those for extended periods of time, so I decided to try to get the HC achievements.

I tried a Gladiator Reave/BF build and ripped in Act 3 to a prophecy monster. All my life gone in the blink of an eye. I put the game down for about 12 hours at that point because I was frustrated. Now I'm back with an EQ Jugg but how slow the leveling is with no uniques and all of the good leveling uniques being several chaos each is discouraging me again.

So I guess what I'm asking is, what builds combine speed and survivability with virtually no gear? I have yet to find a build that feels good with basically SSF gear and I really want these achievements.
