I cant join my friends group

When Im sent a invite on xbox it says im in but they cant see me or see me in their group it gives me the notification saying I joined but I didn't and this happened in November of 2017 and I haven't been able to play since then my gamer tag is luke200007

Are you using the 'Invite to Game' option? Are you playing in the same league as them?
