This is a slightly different essence drain character.
The main skill to cast is wither with a 6 link essence drain on cast while channeling.

The reason for making this build was that waiting for essence drain to propagate through contagion can be a pain on large or spread out groups. So, you can channel and spray the screen like a bow character @ 5 projectiles every 1/4 second or pop contagion first and clear a room like normal. Whatever suits the situation.

The best use for the GMP Essence drain spray has been the Void portals on Elder maps. Nothing is alive for more than 1 second in the entire room as you channel and the portal goes down easily.

This build revolves around a decently easy 6 link Shaper staff with two support gems as explicit mods.

Obviously a swift affliction gem is swapped in for GMP for bosses.

There are no other required items, but Essence of envy rings go a long way.

With Swift Affliction in hideout at 80: 47k DOT
With GMP and 5 frenzy/power charges: 50k DOT
With Swift Affliction, 5 frenzy, 5 Power charges, Wither and Blight totem: 150k DOT dps
