SSF & threshold jewels

Hi all,
I was wondering how to acquire a second threshold jewel in SSF. For example a second First Snow, or a second Frozen Trail. You can't buy or trade them, so you just have to wait for it to drop? Or vaal viridian jewels and hope for the best? What's the best method? SwitchBL8 Sorry, double post. Well, the Quest reward Jewels can be obtained through running a second character through the story. Vaaling only brings you Corruption-exclusive Uniques, it would have to be Chances.
