Is Vaal Pronounced Veil or Vawl?

I've heard lots of people pronouncing it Vawl but this doesnt make sense to me. I always thought it was a nod to "Baal" From Diablo which is most certainly pronounced Bail as evidenced by Uber Duriel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMz36hgRUng#t=01m25s

Another option is to pronounce it "Voll", just to annoy The_Scourge.

I pronounce as i see it. Vaal. And when Eramir speaks it i also hear it as Vaal.

More like Baal of D2, you wouldn't call him Boll just to annoy Charan, would you? (Sorry I had to!)
As a native german speaker, in my head its vahl or more something like wahl but with a slightly longer a so waahl if that makes sense to you. I could also go with the Va'al thing. If you remember the old Agyptian god Ba'al (Sounds like Ba-Ahl) █▀▀▌ █▌█▀▀▀ █▀▀▌█▄░▌
