Need help with Elder (don't spawn)

i'm not sure maybe i did something wrong or
i don't understand something right


) i had a nice elder cluster - about 15 maps in size
) then i got 4 maps occupied by ...
) after i did the first ... it apears to me there where just many portalsit changed to elder
occupied
) i cleaned the other 3 maps with super bosses in it
) then i went for the elder map and crashed
) after that i retried the elder map - found no boss - but my entire elder cluster colapsed

did i do anything wrong (maybe i missed the first guardian - don't think so) ?
i definitly havn't a 4th guardian to kill

Is there any unvisited region near the Elder ?
If yes, the fourth guardian probably spawned on a map that isn't uncovered on your atlas.

oh didn't know that ... maybe it could be *shivers*
