Frequent latency spikes
Hi, all.
I've decided to give PoE a try. I'm greeted with frequent latency spikes up to 300-400 ms, which makes it totally unplayable. Any solution to those spikes? Thanks in advance! Last bumped on Dec 27, 2018, 4:27:09 PM

No WinMTR/pingplotter = no help
Pick a program to use, run it while playing and run it to your gateway, run it for 300 seconds or more while you have the problem Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

Thanks for the tip. I ran WinMTR, here's the log. Also it seems some areas lag, while others are completely fine, which kinda implies the problem is not on my side.

Now seriously, any tech support going to answer? It is not humanly possible to kill any boss with this kind of lag

" The problem starts here: bbr01.eq01.ams01.networklayer.com, presumably after a hand-off from gw1-lnd-7-0-6-gw1-nta.nv.net.il at an IX point. You should email GGG technical support and include those WinMTR details. That'll let them forward it to their hosting provider who can contact their network provider who can look into the issue at that exchange point, and hopefully sort out the problem. |

Thanks, much appreciated. I was under impression that if they have a tech support forums, tech support actually reads it, silly me :)

" I'm pretty sure they do read it, but they generally don't use it to do support directly. I ... never understood why companies thought this was a good idea myself. |

any update please? for those of us who have similar problems, maybe your solution will help others.

trust me there is no real solution to this. problem is all server side.

i have similar issues..
i7 7700K with corsair h100i asus prime z270-a corsair 32gb(2x16) 2400 cl16 ram running at 1333mhz i guess asus rog strix gtx 1080 lg ultrawide uc98-w samsung ssd 860 evo (windows installed) sandisk sdssda240g (where the game installed) and i have 2 storage hdds win 10 pro spec: i recently returned to the game, and i get stutters and freezes with lockstep, so checked forums they told me to go predictive. it was fine for few days but now i cant even play for 5 mins mobs teleport places, die after some time and at the end i just roam the place with huge ms then afterwards die, i think this is desync. so both modes didnt work, i was using wireless, went cable didnt change a thing. i have a widescreen monitor, changed resolutions graphic settings, vsync, disabled freesync etc and nothing worked. tried the game in both ssd drives also nothing changed. any suggestions ? edit: after reading more stuff, opened game in 64bit, it did help for a while, there were still lag spiked while i cast spells but it was barely visible, i wanted to check if turning off vsync would help and then all the bad stutters back and didnt go away after turning on the vsync again and now the stutter is back.. so wierd.. |
