Do Animated Guardians benefit from "Socketed Gems are supported by" effects?

For example, if I put an Advancing Fortress on my Guardian, does it get Fortify?

No, because the skill is not socketed into Advancing Fortress. Unless you socket it into another one that is wielded by your character.
