Chaos damage and chaos resistence

I wonder if it is even worth it that I spent 6 points in chaos damage and chaos resistance. It does not show up, and I have a Chaos sprite that shows up as doing cold damage.

What is up with the chaos damage, you cannot see it, and having a chaos sprite is messed up.

Chaos res is nice for the little amount of things that do do chaos damage but im not sure if chaos damage even adds to attacks/spells unless you already have some type of chaos damage on the tooltip (other elements do this as far as i can tell to)
Chaos resistance definitely shows in your defenses.
Chaos damage increase only shows if you do chaos damage, but tooltip lies in a lot of things.

In other words, I should yank all of those points back and put them into something that is actually useful.
They're actually useful if you have a build that puts out chaos damage. Most monsters have no resistance to it. It melts them. There are many that use this to their advantage. But adding it as flavor to a different build isn't going to be all that helpful.

Very few people cap chaos resists. It's nice to have some. But going around in the red on chaos resistance is probably the norm.

The chaos golem shows up as doing cold damage, though. I also have some chaos damage skills, but they do not show as actually doing chaos damage. Mind you, I'm only level 55 so maybe I need to accrue some more levels... but why does it show as no chaos damage? I plugged like 6 points into it and have a chaos golem and it shows as ...
If a Minion Skill is showing Damage, that's probably from +Damage to Spells - which doesn't actually apply. It's a display bug. Minions do not list their Damage.

What Skills are you using? Where are you looking at? Screenshots would help a bunch.

I pulled three points out of Chaos damage, replaced them with elemental resistance and I am rocking again.

I love playing the Scion, but she seems to usually get the short end of the stick. She's my favorite character to play, though.

In any case, chaos damage and resistance in the skill trees doesn't seem to be working.

GGG are awesome, but something is messed up on chaos damage side.

Okay, I have checked all of my resistances, and they are all peaked at 75% except chaos.

What on earth am I doing wrong here? Tukahoma nearly destroyed me ( yes I'm aware resistance drops this isn't my first ride on a bronco)

I'm also disturbed that we are not seeing our active protections i.e. Purity of Elements and our added destruction types Herald of Thunder for example.

Chaos is not an element. An item that gives +x% to all elemental resistances does not affect your chaos resistance.

You are extremly confused and are lacking basic understanding of the game. If you want help in understanding why doing thing xy does not do what you think it does, then you need to be more specific.

What skill are you using? What passive node did you skill? What did you expect to happen? What actually happened?

Seeing your herald of thunder in your buff-bar is a setting in the UI which is turned off by default.
