Can we get some more options for gifting?

So one thing I really miss on the site of PoE is the option to gift points, items or tabs to other players.
I got friends who want to play this game and would love to gift them for example a currency and premium tab so they could trade better and organize their materials for example.

You now got a lot of advertising with all the views on twitch so maybe it is something to think about for the future?
Not everyone like cosmetics and I'd rather use my points or my money to gift a friend an extra tab then me getting some shiny glowing effect on my gear.

I thought about this too. I wonder why GGG doesn't make shop items giftable/tradable. Some games I've played has this option.

This way company gets more money: someone wants more currency for example, doesn't want to farm, but has money. He/she buys, for example, helm skin or additional stash tab and trades it or gifts it to the person who farmed currency, but doesn't have real money. Thus GGG gets money thanks to that farming player.

Player with money - wins.
Player with currency - wins.
GGG - wins.

Now to imagine how many free players would buy those MTX/tabs/etc. with their currency from other players with money.

Only thought is that it would be similar to pay-to-win for players with money, but still currency is freely available at poe.trade...

A. email support and ask, the can do this but there are procedures in place to make sure it's not abused.

B. i would think by now that an easy option for players isn't coming, they had been using one on the Taiwanese server since around 2015 and had intended to use it here after they "matured" their RMT detection.

C. basically 4423758's post typifies why you don't, literally wanting to abuse it for RMT ("but it's fine because it's the games own version" brand of bollocks)

Those who want RMT are already doing this. Just post on 3rd party forum your account, char, items and find buyer for real money, they have no need for any gifting options for MTX/tabs.

On other hand person who has money (and thus MTX/tabs) doesn't care about more few $ and risking to lose his/her account just for those few $. They have $ already. Only thing is to limit somehow other party from selling currency, items for $ directly instead of trading/gifting them for MTX/tabs (though they already doing this as I described above). To prevent this look at other games, who do this successfully.

Paysafe might be an option, I for one could just go to the next gas station and mail my buddy the key.

They ban people for RMT (see banned for no reason bullshit threads)
They have explicitly stated as part of their bloody ethos on the game that it isn't going to be pay to win, they WILL NEVER do what you suggest and if they ever did it would cost them a large part of their supporter base.

If you make it easier for people to break the rules, they will break the rules more often. If you can't see how gifting MTX is an issue in that regard, there is nothing really to discuss.

They ban RMT spammers and those who directly use them. Smart people trade items for $ quietly. Some 2 players exchange/trade between themselves for items or for free. GGG can't ban them, because it could be 2 friends who share items with playmate, it could be same person who moves items to alt account. Nevermind. I used free gifting in other games and it was great. Company has more income. You like it, don't like - it doesn't matter. What proper measures to incorporate is GGG's job. Have no idea? Look at those games as example.
