Respeccing Ascendant trouble

I'm having trouble respeccing the Ascendant point that allows you to start pathing from another starting point.

I want to go back and respec my choice of templar mini ascendancy but the game will not allow me even if I have reconnected my tree back to the scion starting point (and removed the starting templar passive point).

Feels bad to waste 20 regrets trying to fix this. Now I am the regret.

If that doesn't reflect your passive tree in it's current condition, try restarting the game client.

@Sarno I respecced back to the previous state of my tree to continue playing but at the time it was connected properly
