New to the game looking for advice please

Hey all,
Just started to play this game. Amazingly fun and oh so crazy with the customization. I have a question on my build which I am currently running. I play with a group of 5 and I am going to be the "TANK". Currently level 42 and just entered Act 5. So Far so good. I was planning on heading towards the Chaos Resist passive and have the +20% by level 68ish. my main question right there. 2nd question would be. Should I have a shield or is continuing running 2 handed an option. Currently I have 75% resist to all elements with 0% towards chaos. 90 HP Regen per second. 65% resist physical. With 1100 HP. My Sunder is doing 2100 DPS which is my main attack. Other attack is Heavy Strike with that legendary gem which doubles the damage 20% of time. And I religiously use Rallying Cry to taunt increase damage etc. Passives are Herald of Ash and Clarity. I picked the stone Golem for HP regen. Well I'm 63 now. Finishing up act 8. Completed the second Ascendency Trial as well. Boss was difficult with that teleport onto trap thing.. Another update..
Hit 80 last night. Wuu Figured I would add my gear since I think its just about final gear. Weapon is the Kongor's Undying Rage. I got it to 6 sockets finally last night. Now to work on the links with fusion orbs. This will be my Sunder. Still working out which supports would be best. Right now my sunder is supported by Melee Physical Damage, Concentrated Effect, and Multistrike. The last 2 are still up for debate. Was thinking one of them would be brutality other haven't decided. Suggestions? Armor is The Brass Dome. for the Armor Head is the Geofri's Crest. for the Resistance. Boots is the Kaom's Roots. for the Bonuses. Gloves are a pair of the Spiked Gauntlets for the Bonus damage. Belt is the The Magnate for the Resistance and physical damage boost. Rings one is a Two Stone for resistance other is The Pyre for resistance. Amulet is a stat boost item for Dex and Int. Going to be looking for a Ming's Heart ring. Any other suggestions on gear? My current stats... 403 Strength 93 Int 90 Dex HP = 3200 75 Resistance to all Ele -30 Resistance to Chaos Yuck... 78 Resistance to Physical. With my warlord's mark It gets up to 90% while fighting. 230 Hp regen second Skills - Sunder which I covered above. Currently with my 3 supports it is doing 43,700 DPS on the tooltip. Leap Slam - Supported by Fast Attacks - Fortify Warlord's Mark - Supported by Blasphemy. Any suggestions for other supports? Cast on Taken Damage - Supported by Immortal Cry. Another update in my build and character development.
Couple mile stones happened this week. Got my weapon 6 linked.. only took me 300 or so Fusion Orbs. Sunder - lvl 16 (found a 16% quality one so started over was 19) is supported by.. Multistrike - lvl 19 Melee Physical Damage - lvl 19 Concetrated Effect - lvl 16ish (maxed due to 103 Int) Maim Support - lvl 16 Brutality Support - lvl 19 And it is rocking 77,500 DPS..... was 43,000 4 socketed wow... noice.. with rallying cry I have seen the tooltip say 94,000... Stick with Maim or should I try Ruthless Support..? I got a Harbingers Map Tier 10.. Able to beat it with no deaths. don't know if that is an accomplishment or not. It was so awesome seeing all that loot at the end I was flabergasted. Armor is still all the same. I managed to get a Ming's Heart ring by Ancient Orbing another legendary lucky I know. I decided on not using it.. The extra Chaos Damage is a useless stat and I should probably try trading it for a Carnage Heart Onyx Amulet.. Thoughts? Making my way threw the map system have 28 completed bonus objectives. All I've been doing is using alchemy orbs on my white maps trying for them all at least once as long as it doesn't say physical damage reflect I run it. no problems highest so far is tier 10 haven't looted anything higher yet. Decided to change my build up a bit ditch the bleed and go for more health. Running with 3 other people in the map system I needed the boost to health while I keep everything taunted on me. Well I completed Uber Lab and Atziri this weekend. Both were first time run. Atziri had to use all the portals. Do not have a bleed remove flask working towards one now that was brutal.
I am seriously contemplating heading over to pick up Vaal Pact for that instant Life Leech. I am having difficulty deciding which passives to drop to pick it up. Any thoughts? I am currently with this.
