Incorrect resistance stats??

We both play on the xbox one (bottom corner shows xbox_production tags/3.0.1b), and it affected both of our main characters. Right now my level 55 Ranger shows a -6% resistance to cold damage and -30% resistance to Chaos. Based on the items I have equipped and skills I have taken, my cold resistance should be much higher. Does anyone have any idea why is negative? I emailed support and they said to post here

At the end of Act 5, Kitava's...whatever it is that nearly kills you gives you -30% to all resistances. You do get a notification telling you, but it's just in chat and not as obvious as it should be.

It is not a glitch. It is GGG's way of saying "Fuck you get a grip!".

It previously happend after beating game on a certain difficulty (we had 4 acts and completed them 3 times)
