Lost ark will kill PoE :( ( aslo d3 dead alrdy lmao)

Though PoE is not considered a full-fledged MMO (just for trade) But in the genre of Action RPG with isometric , at the moment this is the best game , not counting its drawbacks the scarcity of farm for farm, xp for xp (for lvl 100 hc players)

Now all the fans of the action RPG in isometric view drew attention to the Lost Ark. Well, in my opinion in this game at this stage is what to do. Especially note not linear travel on ships!

Here's a couple of videos for clarity and discussion.

1) Trailer LA , showing us the beautiful graphics , combat system and much more!

2) Just gorgeous scenes from the story missions. With huge hordes of enemies , and memorable boss ( for parts , voice acting and design)

P. S the Guy at the end went into the portal right as Pity . STOLE STOLE! they stole everything! :D

3) Typical for LA, and likely not for us (mere mortals who farm the same map a hundred times in PoE ) dungeon in the factory robotics. A bunch of top moments + piloting a huge mech (17:31) as icing on the cake.

Spoiler

Looking forward to the game? What do you think about it? Whether it will take part of the players of PoE enthusiasts to farm the same map 300 a day?

Yes! Start holivar and discussion!

If you believe Lost Ark won't be grindy as all hell, you're gonna have a bad time once it's released in 2022 in the West :P
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
seems less ARPG and more MMO (as you hinted at).
Lots of skill cooldowns, open-chest cooldowns, you don't really control your skill, just "click on mob and it does its flashy stuff" (target lock). Like a typical MMO from 2004, but faster attacks and higher quality visuals.
Is that bad? no (for me, yes :P) but not really poe/d2-esque.

edit: a redditor said it better:
"
Devs have always said that this is an MMO with some light ARPG elements on it, people alone came to conclusions that this was "korean diablo 3", but it has never been the case. Is an assymetrical MMO. It gives the "feel" of an Arpg due to how skills are made, all the skills in the game are AoEs meaning that you always hit a bunch of enemies at the same time while grinding, thats what tricked people into thinking this was something like diablo/poe
rawr. fear me.

No, no , no ! I think its grindy as hell ya, but this game have open world vs poe solo or 6 players content.

I dont give 2 fucks about how flashy a game is our how gorgeous the graphics are. All i care about are a high number options available to the player with high complexity. If it aint got that, it will fade away within months of launch.
Furthermore 'balance' is a very dumb concept, it is the essence of intelligence to optimize... and when all choices are equally viable: diversity, meaningful choices, and complexity is effectively obliterated.
For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem. Any separation from 'the whole truth' is incomplete. My incomplete concepts may add to your 'whole truth', accept it or think about it

Looks great. And if looks were all we needed from a game, then it'd be a done deal.

Unfortunately...

Korean MMO basis means I expect a ridiculous amount of grind, probably dodgy monetisation system rife with p2w, a lot of superficiality. Mostly it's the p2w I'd be wary of.

This won't kill PoE. Totally different games; totally different markets. Sorrynotsorry.

Just got me with same thoughts before I got to post.

Played korean mmoarpg cabal online for 6 years and thousands of hours of grinding. All korean mmos turn p2w as soon as western publishers realize they got the playerbase and now they can slowly introduce real money "cash shop investments".

In cabal it started with premiums, like teleport for free anywhere and boosted exp/skill xp. In a year or two it escalated with upgrade items being sold and introduction of ability to sell cash shop items for alz(in game droppable gold).

Years after, shop had sets of equipment and items that drop ingame rarely for just 50 euros.

I played some other korean mmos, and quite a few isometric ones, and same thing happened right at start too.

I don't believe I will ever play a korean mmo, simply cause it is a different audience and different expectations. I don't want to grind thousands of hours, for someone with fat credit card to have advantage first day.

I dont say it doesn't happen in poe, but if it happens, it doesn't concern or affect me, while in those kr mmoarpgs, I guarantee there will be pvp and guild rankings and what not, that would affect me.

This game will be old when it gets to western market, yes. And probably some C class publisher will buy it off and make a profit for year and then close it down. Because its all flashy but no real value.

I'd go deeper into reasoning, but I think this is quite enough for now.

EDIT: Saw your 3rd video, it would be good to use URL tags.

Also, compare it to cabal, a 2005 mmoarpg, when I saw the video, it was almost carbon copy of cabal on better engine and graphics

Now I see where this game draws heavy inspiration from.
Spreading salt since 2006
