The passive skilltree is just a part of builds and not even the defining feature of most builds. That makes your cute assumption completely false.

i know i suck at the game
but i'm at the act 2 last boss and i am constantly dying I went for a stupid spec apparently, or its not even a spec cus i have like 2 support gems atm he like 3 shots my character that has basically only gotten health and armor passives... Can do a bit of damage... |

getting only health passives actually is one of the better/more viable/cookie cutting builds, tho.
also, you had 3, others get 1-2 shotted. don't facetank vaal. |

" ^ This. Seriously, so many people try and facetank mobs that have this big damage hits but they telegraph the big damage hits with some kind of windup animation. Unless you're desynched or lagging, the big windup animation is when you use your 'gtfo' skill and get away from the mob. Let them swing and hit air with that big damage while you pump some ranged at them (if you have it) and then get back in their face. Don't feel like you need to copy builds to have something good, what you do need to is figure out what makes the good builds good and design something unique with that in mind. |
