summon metal slime

behavior:
summons a silver blob that slides on the ground (imagine a slime in a different game)

moves like srs, at roughly the same base speed as skeletons.

when summoned they are summoned at the caster's feet, they do not ignore terrain.

base cast time .65 .

upon reaching an enemy, it "discharges" its life into enemies, taking 50% and dealing 20% of it's max life per second as lightning damage (lightning rf essentially) to all enemies within a radius of 10 (just short of base curse radius).
with gem level 20, they are taking 1000 dps and dealing 600 dps before resists.

the only way to scale the damage dealt by this minion is wrath, vuln, minus res on enemies, and inc minion damage and minion life. minion speed won't help except to get them to enemies faster, and minion cast speed or attack speed does actually nothing.

for comparison purposes:
ele minions get hatred, anger, wrath, haste, and curses that reduces relevant resists, as well as damage, attack speed, and move speed.

base 20% all res on normal, 10% all res in cruel and merc (the -30 res from the kitava and arakaali fights).

base gem level 28
life 200-2000

Sounds interesting, but how fast would they move? Slimes are usually slow, so maybe skeletons speed?

Since they are suicide we have to know how fast you can summon them. Fast like SRS or slower?

Can you choose where to summon them like skeletons or you summon them next to you like SRS?

I think it's unlikely that GGG would allow more than 20 minions (SRS limit), but I don't think this is a problem

In case someone is wondering:
This would mean that on level 20 the damage they do (if they don't get damaged by something else) is 1200, scaling with lightning, elemental, general, area and minion damage. Maybe also Spell Damage? Do minions benefit from the caster spell damage? Necromantic Aegis

EXCEPT:
the 50% damage they take is also considered lightning damage, in that case they deal 1500 damage and profit massively from extra resistances.

1000 damage per second while having 2000 life max means the slime survives for 2 seconds.
600 damage per second for 2 seconds means 1200 damage total.
20% base resistance to everything means the slime lives
1/(1-0,2)=1,25
times as long as with 0% resistance meaning he deals 600 damage per second for 2*1,25 = 2,5 seconds
600 damage per second * 2,5 seconds = 1500 damage (total)
