Wild Masters

I've almost entirely played solo and self found, since beta (when Piety was the last boss).

So, I don't have much/any experience sharing master missions. If I encounter a wild master in a map and wish to share the quest with players in Global 820 what works and doesn't?

I talked to Zana to find out what kind of quest she had (b/c sometimes she only drops a single portal).
After talking to her but before zoning into her quest zone, can I invite other players?
Do they need to be inside the instance before I talk to to her and find out what kind of quest she has?
