Game freeze in character select!?

When I launch the game from steam and choose the gateway (London) and click on "Log in", the screen moves to character select, but i cant click anything and all characters are standing in their default pose. The animation and music keeps on going but nothing else work. I have to alt+F4 to close the game. help im new and want to start playing the game
