Concerned about race structure with overlapping events.

So I see a 1-week race already plotted on the calendar. I am guessing it isn't final since there is no link to the event like the others. So none of this may matter... but it seems to me that it won't be worth doing unless the rewards are extremely high.

In order to participate in the 1-week race you give up 13 small events. That is 13 chances to win a Demigod and tons of points even if you don't win. For example if you win 1 event you will get a Demigod and around 17 points. And in the other 12 events you only did 10 and you only did about average, so 5 points per event for 10 events is 50. So unless the rewards for the 1-week can top a Demigod and 67 points what is the point of doing it?
Fun.

I would imagine you will be able to participate in the other races as well if you wanted.

thing is u might miss 2 events/day in specific time frames, but u could play the 1 week race the other 18 hours if you wanted to, it will depend on the rewards and such, but I am sure most people enrolled in the week race will also play in the other races, then again it depends on your schedule

its a choice you have to make, and I am sure thats why they set it up that way, so u choose if you want to further yourself in the week race or potentially win the individual races
^_^ You will hate me and I am okay with that ^_^

Right but if you do all the small races while doing the week race then you may as well not do the week race since the amount of hours lost will put you way behind the people playing 16+ hours a day for every day of the event.

But for people who just want to win Demigods and accumulate the most reward points they can for time invested it would be a no-brainer to skip the week race and do all the smaller ones instead. Honestly even if the point reward for the week race was 100 points for winning (which I doubt) it is much harder to win a week race unless you want to not sleep for 7 days since there will be people putting 16+ hours a day in.

Why can't you do both..?? When the short races are on compete in them, and when here not play the week long race. Atleast reaching the progression reward points will be a little bonus even though your gimping your self to really win it.

It might be worth it if the rewards are decent. I am just looking at it from a time invested vs. rewards gained. The 13 small events combined is 30 hours of play time. You probably need closer to 100 hours of play time in a week race to rank high enough to make your time investment worth it.
