Quality on reduced mana not working

I got 2 reduced mana cost gems.
One level 17 and one lvl 15. - The lvl 15 one has 8% quality = 4 extra reduced mana, so should be a total of 76-4% = 72% - The lvl 17 has no quality, but has a total of 74% reduced mana. However, when i swap the quality lvl 15 one in my skill combo it costs 1 extra mana. Please fix this next hotpatch so theres a point in having quality on reduced mana. The Quality effect is Reduced Mana Cost.
Auras do not have a Cost, but a Reservation. Are you linking RM to an Aura? | |

Nope, dont use auras... its not working with my LA/Iceshot + LMP + rarity + quantity combo.

Doesn't work that way.
You have the mana cost multiplier from reduced mana that affects the cost of the skill, then after the mana cost of the skill is found, the quality apply it's own bonus (and any other reduced mana cost bonus you could have from passives). A spell that cost 100 mana and is linked to a reduced mana that has a mana cost multiplier of 80% will now cost 80 mana. If you have say, 10% reduced mana cost on that gem, the 80 mana will cost 10% less mana and will become 72. As faerwin has stated it doesn't work in an additive manner like you have assumed.
It will work in a particular sequence which is why you are seeing the results you have gotten. An issue you may encounter is with the rounding of values, multiplying a value by 0.96 (4% Reduction) may not result in the value displayed changing, due to the value being too small. To confirm, I have tested (on a copy of your character at that) and confirmed that it is working, and given higher quality on the gem you will notice a shift of numbers in the scenario you have provided involving lmp/rarity etc. |
