Corrupted jewel stats not adding?

I have a corrupted jewel with an implicit "5% additional chance to receive a critical strike"
When I un-equip and equip the jewel and watch the character offence stats, the main hand critical strike chance does not change. Am I missing something?? Last bumped on Mar 24, 2017, 9:32:26 PM

Receiving a critical strike is not an offensive stat; it is a self flagellating stat
