Trade Macro okay or not

Hey there. Pretty new to path of exile and looking for some information.Buddy of mine suggested looking into trade-macro to check rolls and connect with poe.trade for easy price checking and so on, so I didnt have to spent so much time on poe.trade and more time in game. Before using any script I tried doing some research on whether or not it's allowed within the game or if it's a bannable offense.

Most of the posts where pretty outdated and a GGG member had posted something about 1 or more actions pr button, which truly confused me. I'm interested to know what GGG's standpoint is on trade-macro for fast checks on gems with quality and levels, and for general unique price ranges.

TLDR: Is trade-macro allowed or considered bannable.
