Read this if you are stuck at "contacting server/authenticating" after the patch

IF you've renamed your client.exe for your dedicated video card profile or whatever reason before the patch, and after the patch you can't log in past contacting server status, here's the solution.

Basically after the patch the game recreates/downloads a new client.exe to replace the missing one. That's why your renamedclient.exe or shortcut can't connect. All you need to do is go back to your installation folder and use the new client.exe to log in and you will be able to play.
