What am I doing wrong; Cyclone gets stuck

I don't know if this is an issue or if I'm doing something wrong, but when I whirl around using Cyclone, I get stuck on every little thing on the map; a tree, the edge of a chest, a nearly invisible little stone, everything on the map is potentially an obstacle, I'm even having problems navigating through doorways reliably without getting stuck which stops the motion of Cyclone and grounds me to a complete halt.

This is causing me to die quite frequently since I rely on both mana and life from leaching which gets interrupted when the Cyclone stops. At clvl 73, it has grown to such an issue that I can't progress any further due to another stupid feature, namely the xp-loss from dying.

What's going on?
Going outside is highly overrated

That's how Cyclone is.

As someone who played Cyclone in every League I've been in, I learned a few things to deal with Cyclone's clunky mechanics:

1. If you're in a tight space, keep your mouse cursor close to your character.
2. If you're in a REALLY tight space or need leeway to move, don't hold down your Cyclone key/button. Tap it constantly instead.
3. Keep a movement skill on hand to escape bad situations quickly. Leap Slam/Flame Dash are easy choices if you're using a 2 Handed weapon.

Just keep practicing. You'll eventually get the hang of what you can go through and what you cannot.

Doorways aren't an issue for me honestly.
It's the single greatest bs regarding Cyclone.
I was getting stuck or not moving when corners/doorways would clip my path and would stick out just enough to be in the way. If I clicked to move the char would walk but the path wouldn't be straight. Learned to take more care in my pathing thru area's and staying out of tight areas if possible. The other problem I was having is that I couldn't see the obstacle I was clicking on to move with all the breach monsters. I started clicking really close or using leapslam when it wouldn't trigger as expected as well.

Good luck
After just finishing a cyclone char and making it through everything outside of shaper I can say it's a great ability when built around correctly. It's biggest drawback is what you are stating though. You find ways around it and avoid certain maps like cells or tight small rooms like the plague though.

As mentioned, a quick escape option is a must have. As you get into the high maps a single pebble can stop your cyclone and result in an untimely death. If you aren't spinning, you aren't winning as I say.
