Question about red nightmare

Does the red nightmare jewel's first option "gain 5% of fire damage as extra chaos damage" apply? to the Explosive arrow's Secondary fire damage? or it just apply's to the attack?

secondary damage can be converted, so my guess is yes
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
