I got a friends account banned

About 5 days ago a good friend of mines account was banned. The reason was being RMT. I know that most people that do get banned come to the forums saying "I didnt do it promise" and normally I scoff at those saying that I am sure GGG does its homework before a permanent ban comes down.

However in this situation I believe GGG has made an error and its my fault. Me and my friend normally always play together and spend alot of hours mapping. We run a Carry/Support combo and pool our currency together so when its time for an upgrade generally we will give anywhere from 300-500 chaos to each other. On a number of occasions I have started to make jokes like "Sir thank you for your pay pal. Please confirm your order" and other such (now not very funny) jokes. The jokes started because we have never been able to run rippy red maps before and finally found a combo that was both fun and effective. Couple chat logs (with names removed) of a few examples of things that was said

We have POE.TRADE searches for each others shop sales just to see whats up for sale and help price it better if other items are similar. One day I find this little gem he put up as a troll. A corrupted Voll's Vision Praetor Crown he listed for 60,000 Exalted. It was amusing because that helm gives bonus's for no corrupted items being worn. I decided to have fun with the troll.

He was banned a day later (same day we regeared a couple alts and he had just given me 500 chaos to buy a shavs + pressence of chayula). We had originally thought that we were gonna level alts on another account to attempt to use those characters as traders while we mapped but decided against it. So some gear was traded to these accounts and then back again (these accounts also have the same name + email address).

After the ban I dont find these kinds of jokes funny at all anymore. I know that it was dumb but I just assumed that GGG would see that me and him have been in the same guild for 4+ years together and spend about 12 hours a day in maps. We also both buy multiple supporter packs a league. I dont expect that to protect someone breaking the rules but I would expect it to at least allow further communication from support.

To date he has not received any email response from GGG. Not even the automated response that you normally get if they are busy. At this point any response would be great. I am at a loss how to proceed. Is this supports normal approach to banned accounts? Was this an automated ban or an investigation that did it? Is there even an appeal process? Im not asking "show me proof" because I know that information can be used to make cheating safer, im just asking if a real person was even involved in looking at this stuff at all.
