Currency/vendor recipe to transfer experience between gems?
I'm not sure if you guys experience the same thing, but I've been running end-game maps for awhile now and have gotten all of my main gems (mostly 0% quality) to level 19+. As you may know, at the higher levels, gems take a long time to level up.
The problem is, while playing, I have found many "upgrades" in the form of higher % quality gems. But swapping these newly found gems into my line-up is a large hassle. Why? Because these gems are always at a low level. This is especially obvious when the "upgrade" (higher quality gem) is your main damage spell/attack and doesn't do enough damage to run the same areas that your level 18-20 gem could. This essentially forces players to farm lower level monster areas for the sole purpose of leveling their new gem up to a respectable level. Some of you might say, "well, just socket the upgrade into an unused slot and level it up". The thing is, all of my gem slots are maxed out. Not one single socket on my weapons/armor is unused -- every single one of my gem slot has a purpose, and I simply can't afford to swap out one of the gems I'm already using for the sole purpose of leveling up a duplicate "upgrade gem". So my suggestion is: Create a vendor recipe or form of currency where the experience from one gem can be transferred to another. Note: This "transfer" of experience really isn't giving a player "free" gem experience, because you've already done the work and taken the time to level up a certain gem. What do you guys think? Feedback/thoughts would be appreciated. ✮ in-game @FTMFW

socket gems in your secondary weapon/shield tab and level them like that... they gain xp even if they are not on the active set of weapos.
or sell the quality gems you find for gcp and use the gcp on your gems. simple Last edited by H4T3MONG3R#3676 on Feb 21, 2013, 7:25:53 PM
