Wow forums

How retarded is it, that you can't even post unless you are subbed?

Like, I bought the fucking game, let me fucking use the forum for fucks sake...
I wanna ask people what Legion is like, is it worth coming back etc.,
and just to do so I would have to pay $12... wow, thanks.

Why can't they just be like GGG and host free forums?
Poe is free, no sub, and only gets some MTX incomes, and yet everyone can post.
Wow every expansions costs, every month costs a sub fee, they are making billions $$$ and they won't even let owners of the game use the forums to go "hey is there anything new worth checking out yet?" unless they pay.... that's some fucked up shit man.

There are also some sections of the WoW forum open to those that don't have an active subscription. I do agree it is a bit retarded but you can also look at it is a feature you are buying by subscribing to the game. Blizzard's other forums thankfully only require you to have a valid game license.

World of Warcraft has a larger RMT problem than potentially any other game. The game's over ten years old - there's a lot of people who bought the game, stopped playing and don't give a toss about the security of their account. It seems Blizzard decided that people who are paying a monthly subscription shouldn't have to deal with RMT spam on their forum.

Sure, Blizzard could afford to have more forum staff - but if the guys up top won't pay for it then they have to do whatever they can to keep things under control. Between fansites and the subreddit I'm not sure why "how's Legion?" simply has to be posted on the official forum.

It kind of feels like you're looking for something to complain about. It's really not that big of a deal for those affected, and it's a huge benefit for the staff who have to moderate the forum.
